Nightmare almost over

The nightmare which was the Bush years is now almost over.  In a  week Obama will be in the White House.  In his last press conference, yesterday, Bush argued that “you misunderestimated me.”  I don’t think so.  Some of us — unfortunately most of us not Americans — always knew what a disaster he was going to be.  Today he gave the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Tony Blair.  How ironic to give a medal to the “Middle East Peace Envoy” in the middle of a full-blown Middle East war.

Things will be difficult for Obama, with the economy tanking, but at least he is a man we can trust and look up to.
