That O’Leary is a thief!

That Michael O’Leary is stealing our money!  We are in the process of booking tickets for next summer.  Unusually, we are making plans well ahead of time.  We didn’t go to Sweden last summer and we haven’t been in the US for seven years!  As a part of these complicated arrangements, we were trying to book tickets between London and Stockholm.  We booked with Ryan Air.  Big mistake!

After Diane had put in all the details, Ryan Air’s web site declared that it couldn’t process our credit card.  After a few curses directed towards the Green Isle, Diane went ahead and booked a — 200 pound, 300$ US, more expensive — ticket with SAS.  After a few hours Ryan Air got back via email and declared that the payment indeed had gone through.  As a result we now have tickets for 12 people to fly London – Stockholm, return!

Ryan Air is obviously at fault.  They have stolen our money.  The problem is how to get it back.  No, they don’t answer emails.  They don’t answer regular phone calls either.  In order to get through you have to call a premium number.  Imagine being on hold on a premium phone line from Taiwan to Ireland for god knows how long!

Ryan Air is the ugly, dirty, face of capitalism.  They are an offensive company, bent on humiliating their customers.  And they owe us 500 pounds!

Here are more unhappy customers:

* “Ryanair sucks
* and of course there is a Facebook group — “We Hate Ryan Air
